The Fireplace Philosopher

Long-form philosophy, told slowly

One thinker
per evening.

Thinking is becoming something we hand off. This is for people who still love to do it. One thinker per evening, told slowly, with a coffee in your hand or good company beside you. Listen, reflect, and talk it over, with yourself and with others.

1. Sit by the fire

Free on YouTube. Nearly two hours each, with chapters so you can find your place the next night. Slow enough to think alongside.

2. Reflect

Each episode stops on questions worth asking. The workpages give them room: pages to write on, alone, while you listen or afterwards.

3. Talk it over

Take a question to the person beside you, or argue with yourself on paper. Every episode gives a chapter to where the thinker fails, so there is always something to push against.
